Most grooming salons focus on the haircut. We focus on the dog.
A beautiful groom means very little if the dog leaves stressed, overwhelmed, or afraid to come back. That's why every appointment at Fetching Pet Company is one-on-one in a private suite with one dedicated groomer from start to finish. We combine behavior-informed handling, premium skin and coat care, and an environment intentionally designed to reduce stress because grooming should protect your dog's wellbeing, not challenge it.
Art of Grooming
Time to
Chill
Traditional grooming wasn't designed with your dog's emotional wellbeing in mind. Ours is. We rejected crowded grooming rooms, assembly-line appointments, and rushed handling from day one because grooming should protect a dog's confidence, not just their coat. That's why every appointment happens one-on-one in a private suite intentionally designed to reduce stress. From soundproof walls and calming colours to daylight-mimicking lighting, anti-fatigue flooring, and DogTV, every detail supports a calmer, more positive grooming experience. While no environment can eliminate stress for every dog, we've built one that gives them the very best chance to succeed.

Why
Us?

Private Grooming Suites
Environment matters. Every groomer works from their own private suite equipped with soundproof walls, calming colours, daylight-mimicking lighting, anti-fatigue flooring, and DOGTV. While no environment can eliminate stress completely, we've intentionally designed ours to help dogs feel calmer, safer, and more comfortable throughout their appointment.
Healthy Skin. Healthy Coat.
A great haircut starts with healthy skin. That's why one of our groomers completed professional Canine Esthetician training, giving our team advanced knowledge in skin and coat health. We use premium, paraben-free products and tailor our recommendations to your dog's individual skin, coat, and lifestyle because healthy skin isn't just cosmetic, it's an important part of your dog's overall wellbeing.
We Groom With Compassion
The dog comes before the haircut. Every single time. If brushing through severe matting would cause unnecessary pain or stress, we won't do it. If your dog needs breaks or multiple appointments to have a positive experience, we'll happily adjust our approach. We'd rather build trust over several visits than achieve a perfect haircut at the expense of your dog's wellbeing.
One Dog. One Groomer.
We don't believe in assembly-line grooming. Every appointment is one-on-one with one dedicated groomer from check-in to pick-up. No passing dogs between bathers and stylists. No sitting in kennels waiting for hours. Just thoughtful, individualized care focused entirely on your dog.
Meet Your Groomer
Relationships start with conversation. Every appointment begins with a face-to-face consultation between you and your dog's groomer. We'll discuss haircut preferences, your dog's personality, health considerations, and any concerns before we begin. At pickup, that same groomer will walk you through the appointment and answer any questions because communication shouldn't end when you hand over the leash.
We Invest in Our Groomers
Better careers create better grooming. Our pricing allows us to pay legal, livable wages that reflect the skill, education, and craftsmanship professional grooming requires. We also invest in continuing education, paid time off, and a supportive workplace because experienced groomers deserve careersnot burnout. When groomers are respected and supported, dogs receive calmer handling, stronger relationships, and better grooming experiences.
Pricing Transparency
We know we're more expensive than many grooming salons in the area, and that's intentional. At Fetching Pet Company, our pricing reflects a completely different standard of care. We don't charge by breed because two dogs of the same breed can require vastly different amounts of time, skill, and resources depending on their size, coat condition, behavior, and grooming goals. Instead, our base grooming rate is $87 per hour (with an $87 haircut minimum), creating a pricing model that's transparent and based on the care your individual dog actually receives. Larger dogs or dogs requiring additional products, equipment, blade wear, or specialized handling may have a slightly higher hourly rate to reflect those additional costs. More importantly, our pricing allows us to do things differently. Every appointment is one-on-one with one dedicated groomer in a private suite, no crowded salons, no assembly-line grooming, and no rushing through appointments to fit in one more dog. It allows us to use premium skin and coat products, invest in continuing education (including having a professionally trained Canine Esthetician on our team), maintain thoughtfully designed grooming suites, and pay our groomers livable wages that reflect the skill, craftsmanship, and expertise professional grooming requires. We'd rather give your dog the time they deserve than squeeze in another appointment. For reference, a typical Yorkie is around $87, a larger Shih Tzu or a dog with additional coat maintenance may be closer to $97, a Standard Doodle averages around $174 for approximately two hours of grooming, and giant double-coated breeds like Great Pyrenees or Malamutes requiring extensive de-shedding may be around $350. Every full-service groom includes nail trimming and dremeling, ear cleaning, premium shampoo and conditioner, your chosen haircut, and a finishing spritz. Because every dog is unique, these are simply estimates. If you'd like a personalized quote, send us your dog's breed, weight, a recent photo, and the style you're hoping to achieve. We believe our pricing should reflect the time, expertise, and individualized care your dog receives not simply their breed. It's not the cheapest way to groom dogs, but it's the standard we've chosen, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
