Pandemic Puppy Program

Updated: Jan 22, 2021

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, the world is having to embrace social distancing which is causing a new set of challenges for puppies that are being adopted this year. Despite the world changing, the puppy socialization period has not changed and it is a crucial period of a puppy's life. This program will provide optimal socialization opportunities to new new dogs, new sights, smells, textures, sounds, and more. Here are some of the things we will cover in the Pandemic Puppy Program.

• Regular daycare group with other puppies, adult dogs, and humans!

• Training

Each puppy will complete one 15 minute positive reinforcement basic obedience training sessions a day working on sit, down, climb with the owner of Fetching Pet Company.

• 10 Minutes of Introduction to handling

This is going to be especially useful for grooming appointments and vet visits! During this period of Puppy Preschool, we will work on creating a positive response to opening and clothing their mouths, touching their paws, feeling their bellies, lifting their legs, and more.

• Exploring new things

Each puppy will explore new textures, surfaces, sounds, and smells such as different textured rugs, tunnels, wobbly surfaces, scent games like brain stimulating puzzles, and more!

• Age appropriate nap times

• Scheduled meal breaks
